Visas be pricey!

Just got back from the Brazilian consulate where we dished out $160 per person for our visas! This is the blog for Dan Mode & Laura Schulthies amazing year long adventure around the world. Sign up for email updates and like us on Facebook! We are traveling the globe for over a year beginning October 2013, visiting 29 countries on 4 continents over the course of 400 days. We hope that this adventure will educate and enrich our lives by allowing us the opportunity to learn more about the cultures, history and beauty of our planet and the creatures that inhabit it. Parts of this trip are going to be hard, and the whole thing is going to demand considerable energy and resources… but we’re doing it because we hope it will make us stronger, more aware citizens of the world. Some of our plans include learning Spanish through immersion in Guatemala and other areas of Central & South America; Trekking & exploring through wild and exotic locales in the Amazon, Serengeti, Nepal and Indonesia, as well as volunteering in as many countries as possible. Stay tuned!
